👉 Why Agro-Forestry?

Deforestation drives climate change. The deforestation curve almost perfectly matches the climate curve   especially since the Industrial Revolution.

The reason: forests were first cleared for war economies and later, mainly, for agriculture. With ever more powerful machines, deforestation now happens faster than ever   because people need to eat, earn a living, and care for their families.

👉 The Solution: Bring Forests Back

If we were to replant just about one-third of the forests cleared since the agricultural revolution, we could stabilize the climate   and even actively steer it in the long run.

These new agro-forests should grow primarily in warmer regions to maximize global cooling. At the same time, local agro-forests improve local climates everywhere and that adds up to the global climate.

Agroforestry is the key: agriculture becomes a tree culture.
Fruit trees are trained to grow straight from the start to produce premium timber for furniture and construction. Drones and mini-robots maintain and harvest efficiently and safely.

Fruits are harvested in waves at peak ripeness. After 40+ years, older trees are replaced, yielding valuable wood while keeping CO₂ stored long-term. Existing forests can also be gradually transformed into agro-forests   producing more food without reducing timber output.

Unlike conventional farming, agro-forests store water, release it through evaporation, and create significant natural cooling. Increased rainfall sets off a powerful self-reinforcing cooling cycle.
On top of that, they draw CO₂ out of the air   another crucial lever against global warming.

Underbrush, fallen fruit, and pruning residues are converted into biogas. This replaces oil and natural gas, lowers methane emissions, and returns nutrients to the soil. Less undergrowth also means a lower risk of wildfires.

👉 Biodiversity & New Opportunities

There are thousands of fruit tree species   and more can be bred. Even traditional crops can be grafted onto trees.
Agro-forests can also integrate animals, with geofencing replacing fences. Why not cultivate new grazing animals like giraffes that naturally browse on tree leaves?

👉 Rethinking the Economy

At first, agroforestry cannot compete with aggressive monocultures. That’s why it must begin outside the conventional money system until it grows strong enough to become part of it   and eventually reshape it.
